Pinot Noir Rosé 'Artist' 2024
In a year when the Okanagan Valley's vineyards were decimated by cold, our friends Russell and Delphine offered grapes from their prestigious Dundee Hills estate in Oregon. Dylan and Russell's mutual respect began while studying winemaking in Burgundy 20 years ago. Joyfully, our friendship continues today.
“Love the nice thorny, peppery, floral and pretty-savoury style. On the palate there is great wild berry and juicy cherry ripeness with a pleasant tea leaf grip. The tannins and structure build and are supported by fruit intensity and a return to savouriness on the finish. Excellent length and complexity. Top rate.”
Brent Muller, WineAlignTasting Notes
Tiny, ripe strawberries on a bed of warm straw. Creamy lactic mouthfeel and refreshing acidity. Unapologetically pink. This is the Okanagan lifestyle, sun-baked shoulders on sandy, striped towels. Salty kisses on the beach. Brisk, playful, refreshing.
Food Pairing
Spinach salad with sliced strawberries, almond slivers and lemon yogurt dressing. Chicken wings. Boat rides.

“The Roche 2024 Pinot Noir Rosé comes out of Russell's Winter's Hill Estate Vineyard in Dundee, Oregon. It departs from the typical Roche offering based on zweigelt, hence its slightly darker colour. It should be no surprise that the styling is French from its understated nose to its cherry, berry savoury palate that finishes balanced and dry. This pink will match many things, but it is also built for the dinner table with enough intensity and flavour to take on turkey or salmon. More please.”
