Library Wine: Pinot Noir 'Tradition' 2017
“Dark fruited and structural, with black raspberry, cherries, brooding plum flowing along the savoury, medium+ palate, structured by finely firm, cedar-grained tannins leading this to a spiced finish. Very elegant and refined, drinking beautifully now, but still with time ahead.”
Treve Ring, Gismondi on WineTasting Notes
The nose reveals a hint of fine oak followed by juicy red berries with an underlying tone of "sous-bois" or forest floor which adds to its growing complexity. On the palate, the elegant fruit is in perfect balance with fine tannins and a poised finish.
Food Pairing
With cellaring potential, this wine pairs best with earthy meals high in flavour. Lamb ragout or mushroom risotto.
