Chardonnay 'Artist' 2020
Organically farmed in the Similkameen Valley, hand-picked, and aged 8 months in French oak. Minimal SO2.
Tasting Notes
Flaky vanilla custard croissants with apple compote. Pale straw yellow. Visual and tactile, emotional and logical. Overstuffed chairs, plump velvet cushions, a chess board perched on lovers' knees. Soft, nuanced, pleasurable.
Food Pairing
Butternut squash tortellini with browned sage butter. Buckwheat soba, hot or cold. Steak frites and mayonnaise. Fireside cuddles.

Terroir
The arid hillsides of the Similkameen Valley are the brightest, hottest growing region in British Columbia. Vines are rooted in highly calcareous soils, giving minerality and providing moisture through the growing season. High elevation leads to cool summer nights, retaining acid in the grapes and providing freshness to the wines.
Winemaking
Fermented in French oak. Full malolactic conversion.
Aging
Aged for an additional 8 months in the same French oak barrels, with 33% new oak.
